2014-2015 season is underway now!

Do you have a 9-14 year old with an interest in technology?

FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) LEGO® League (FLL) is an exciting, fun global robotics and innovation program that ignites an enthusiasm for discovery, science, teamwork and technology – and it’s here in Southern Utah! FLL is a global program, and the Utah division is organized by the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute at the University of Utah to promote innovation among our youth.

Our Regional Qualifying Tournament will be held on the Campus of Dixie State University on January 10th. The groups responsible for organizing this tournament are: Utah State University Extension’s Washington County 4-H program, the DSU Computer and Information Technology Department, and the University of Utah Distance Education Center.

In this exciting program, young people have the opportunity to solve real-world challenges by building LEGO-based robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing surface. FLL teams, guided by their imaginations and adult coaches, discover exciting career possibilities and, through the process, learn to make positive contributions to society.
