The Dixie Technical Association (Dixie Techs) is a network of technology professionals and entrepreneurs in Southern Utah. Dixie Techs actively encourage idea exploration and implementation, entrepreneurship, job expansion, peer mentoring and education in the technology sector. Our mission is to create possibilities in southern Utah’s tech, creative and knowledge economies.
Dixie Techs started in 2009 as a collaborative effort between St. George Area Economic Development, Dixie State University, USTAR and several private sector businesses. Our aim was to build a professional network of individuals and businesses to help support and grow our local technology industry.

Why Should You Join Dixie Techs?
Online resources-The dixietechs.com website provides access to databases (company directory). In addition, Dixie Techs members have priority when submitting content such as; event listings, product launches, and noteworthy business accomplishments. By providing your email address, you can be notified about upcoming events and special activities that may not be open to the general public.
Networking opportunities-When you join Dixie Techs, you’ll deepen existing business relationships and make new contacts on a regular basis. Such networking goes beyond the exchange of business cards – as you attend lunch meetings, become active on a committee or take a leadership role, you’ll forge lasting ties with others who have common professional interests and similar business concerns. These relationships will be a rich, ongoing source of inspiration and ideas. We meet on the first Friday of each month to listen to a guest speaker and enjoy lunch sponsored by a local business. Subscribe to our meetup.com group for up-to-date info on events, speakers, startup contests and more!
Education– the Dixie Technical Association offers their members the chance to update their knowledge of business and trade basics or acquire new skills through seminars, workshops, and groups.
Support systems-Dixie Techs Members can take advantage of formal coaching or mentoring relationships with more experienced business people who provide guidance and useful insights. Even on an informal basis, such relationships can be a source of answers and solutions when you’re facing a challenging situation in your business. At the very least, the feeling that you have a support network behind you can boost your confidence when experiencing tough times.
Civic Leadership-As an individual businessperson, you may not have the time or resources to sponsor a charitable event, partner with an educational institution or otherwise participate in community activities. However, because the Dixie Techs is active in civic and philanthropic ventures, you can become involved in many worthwhile projects through the association.
By joining Dixie Techs, you’ll make connections, have resources available to you and receive ideas and advice that, you’ll discover, result in an outstanding return on what amounts to a modest, manageable investment of time, money, and effort. It could turn out to be one of the best things you could do for yourself and your business.
